The Immigration Museum

Year 9, 10 and 11 Turkish LOTE classes enjoyed a day out in Melbourne’s CBD. They began their excursion at The Immigration Museum, where they analysed the Turkish Kimlik exhibition. The exhibition focused on the lives of prominent Australian-Turks and their shared cultures. Students then went for a cultural walk around the city; looking at the Greek and Chinese influences on Lonsdale Street and Little Bourke Street. For lunch, each year level split up to experience a variety of cultural cuisines that Melbourne had to offer. All in all, it was a fun educational experience for both students and teachers.
